Green Pastures Conference

Members of Care for our City’s ‘Friends First’ housing project were delighted to join with hundreds of like-minded people from around the UK, all involved in similar work at the annual Green Pastures conference. It was two days of worship and inspiration as we heard from projects around the country who are looking to see the Kingdom of God come in the areas of housing and wellbeing. Emmanuel pastors Steve Horne and Tim Jones were joined by housing supervisor Claire Eldred and current workers and tenants of our Friends First programme.

Tim said “The others have come to this before, but it’s the first time for me and I am really blown away by what God is doing across the country. The way that Green Pastures work with churches and charities to see housing established is amazing and it has stirred me, as the Care for our City projects developer, to go for more in Brighton and Hove. I think that Emmanuel has a huge part to play in seeing people come into confidence and stability in God through our housing and wellbeing programme ‘Friends First’, and I’m hungry for more!”
